How Cabmart Verifies Drivers Before They Can Accept Rides

Not a vague "verified drivers" badge — here's specifically what gets checked, and what that does and doesn't cover.

Cabmart Travel Guides

What gets checked before a driver is approved

Every driver submits four documents before they can accept a single ride:

  • Driving license — checked for a clear, readable, valid photo.
  • Vehicle RC (registration certificate) — the vehicle's own registration proof.
  • Permit — checked for a valid, unexpired date.
  • Insurance — checked for a valid, unexpired date.

How the check actually works

Cabmart reads all four documents automatically and cross-checks that the owner name on the RC, permit, and insurance genuinely match each other — catching a mismatched or borrowed vehicle before it gets near approval. The driving license is checked separately for validity, not name-matched against the vehicle documents, since a hired driver or a leased car routinely means the license holder and the registered vehicle owner are two different people.

Anything the automatic check can't confirm cleanly — a blurry photo, an expired date, names that don't match closely enough — gets routed to manual review by Cabmart before that driver is approved. The system is built to fail toward a human checking it, never toward guessing and approving anyway.

What you can verify yourself at pickup

Before your driver arrives, you see their photo and vehicle plate number in the app — check both against what actually pulls up. The pickup OTP is the other half of this: sharing it confirms the trip on both sides, so the right rider and the right driver are actually matched to the same booking.

What happens during the trip

Your trip is tracked live from pickup to drop-off — not just switched on when something goes wrong. If you ever need it, the in-app SOS button is one tap: it alerts your pre-registered emergency contacts with your live location and trip details, and separately flags the incident for Cabmart to follow up on.

Frequently asked questions

What documents does Cabmart check before approving a driver?

Driving license, vehicle RC, permit, and insurance — checked for validity and cross-matched against each other, with anything uncertain sent to manual review rather than auto-approved.

Does Cabmart run a police or criminal background check on drivers?

Not as a separate database lookup today — verification is document validity and cross-matching, backstopped by manual review for anything uncertain. It's an honest, specific answer rather than a vague "fully verified" claim covering more than it actually does.

How do I know I'm getting into the right vehicle?

Check the driver photo and vehicle plate shown in the app against what's actually in front of you before you get in — and the pickup OTP confirms the match on both sides.
