Why tolls and parking aren't part of the quoted fare
Your Cabmart fare is calculated by distance, and distance is the same however you slice it. Tolls aren't — two routes covering the same number of kilometres can cross a completely different number of toll plazas, and vehicle class changes the toll amount too. Folding an average toll estimate into every fare would mean overcharging routes that hit no tolls at all, and undercharging the ones that hit several. FASTag and how tolls get paid on the way
Electronic toll collection (FASTag) is now the standard way tolls are paid on India's national highways, so most tolls on a Cabmart trip are deducted electronically at the plaza rather than paid in cash — the cost still passes through to you at actual cost, the same as any other toll payment method would.
What this means for your total trip cost
A short trip on state roads may cross no toll plazas at all. A longer trip on national highways, particularly between major cities, is more likely to cross one or more.
